Since 2001 Edwina’s work has been inspired by the narrative of water in this ancient and degraded land. This exploration has taken her to salt lakes in Western Australia and the Mallee. Her most recent journey was to Tso Kar, a high altitude salt lake in Ladakh, on the Tibetan Plateau.

She has been the recipient of 2 Visual Arts / Crafts Board of the Australia Council Research Travel Grants. In 1984 she travelled to the UK and France to research ‘neriage’ techniques applied to bone china and porcelain. In 2004 she was awarded an Australia Council Research Travel Grant for travel to Western Australia to trace an ancient paleo drainage river system, now visible in the form of a chain of salt lakes.

Edwina’s work is held in several public collections including The Araluen Arts Centre, Ballarat Art Gallery, Museum and Art Galleries of the Northern Territory, Shepparton Art Gallery, Victorian State Craft Collection, Shire of Diamond Valley and Tajimi City, Japan. Her work is included in many private collections and has been exhibited in South Korea, Japan and the UK.
